Annie:
Today the band met up and regrouped at a local Starbucks. Seemed like an easy spot for us to catch up and really refocus. You may or may not know that Paul sadly has been homeless for around a month now. His apartment building was burnt to a crisp, it was caused by the restaurant below and went upward. He’ll be writing about that himself but the band has been on hold as far as recording since his computer also was in the fire.
It was nice to meet up in a coffee shop. I don’t drink coffee anymore, I don’t think Derron drinks either. Haha pretty funny. Paul drinks so he had his, I had a tea and Derron had a hot chocolate.
Talked about a lot of things. Derron talked about us really hustling and really going at it especially when our album is finished. Paul talked about a couple books that we really should read about the music industry. I talked about how I called many labels and since most of them don’t take unsolicited stuff, yeah…. they hung up on me. But I have to say that even though they kept hanging up, it really didn’t stop me from calling.
Overall it was a refresher for me and we feel excited to get back into the swing of recording. We’re meeting up again tomorrow and going to do some non-recording stuff and maybe even make a plan of action type thing.
We’ll see what is going to happen in the next few weeks. All I know is that I’m ready for hard work and things to happen!
